Dream meaning Dreaming of killing someone

A murder in a dream horrifies the waking self, and what it shows is something ended, silenced or cut away: a dispute and how it ends, or release from distress. Your part in it decides the reading, whether killer, victim, witness or the one who hides the body, and so does how you felt when you woke. Scripture treats killing with the utmost gravity.

The Qur'an says that whoever takes one innocent life is as if they had killed all humanity, and whoever saves one, as if they had saved all humanity. After Cain killed Abel, a crow scratching the earth showed him how to bury his brother. The interpreters do not read such dreams on their surface: a dreamer who sees himself killed is read as one who will live long, and a killing can stand for escape from distress.

What happens in a dream is no sin, and the dream is never read as a wish or a plan. Killing someone in a dream is read as ending a matter with that person, or gaining the upper hand in a dispute, not as harm coming to them; being hunted by a killer is a pressure or an opponent to be met with protection.

Witnessing a murder is a wrong around you that you are not responsible for, and hiding a body is a matter kept secret that will want settling. Killing in self-defence is a trial met and ended.
