Guidance held with care, insight without haste

Dream meaning Dreaming of ice

Ice in a dream is water held still: a provision stored, a matter halted, a coldness between people. Its melting is the matter moving again. A block of ice held in the hand is a gain that does not last unless it is used, for ice melts in its season; ice kept in a cold store is wealth or knowledge saved for the day it is needed.

A frozen river or sea is a journey or a trade halted for a time, or a matter that cannot move until its season turns; ice cracking and the water flowing again is relief, a delay ending and a closed door opening.

Walking on ice is a precarious matter that asks for slow and careful steps; ice cracking beneath the dreamer is a danger ahead, and stepping back to firm ground is being saved from it in time; falling through the ice and climbing out is a hardship survived. Clear ice through which the depths can be seen is a matter the dreamer can see through; clouded ice is something hidden beneath the surface of a dealing.

Hands or feet frozen are a hand held back from giving or a step held back from a duty, and warming them is generosity and resolve returning. Ice between two people, a frozen door or a cold house, is coldness in a relationship, and the thaw is reconciliation; the Qur'an speaks of hearts that grew hard like stone, and the dream counsels softening them with remembrance before they harden further.

Hail that falls without harm is purification, as in the Prophet's prayer to be washed of sins with water, snow and hail; hail that breaks the crops is a trial reaching provision.
