Dream meaning Dreaming of the sun

The sun in a dream is the ruler or the greatest authority over the dreamer, the father, and light, guidance and a matter made clear. Joseph saw the sun, the moon and eleven stars bowing to him, and they were his father, his mother and his brothers.

A bright sun rising over the dreamer or entering the house is honour, a rise in standing, favour from a person of authority or a father's blessing; for one who seeks it, it is a marriage of standing or a provision that spreads.

Sunlight falling on the dreamer is benefit and warmth from that authority; the sun darkened, eclipsed or covered by cloud is a worry touching the ruler or the father, or a matter clouded for a time; the sun setting is a matter drawing to its close. A scorching sun that burns is harm from an authority, or a trial in the heat of affairs, and shade from it is protection.

Holding the sun, or finding it in one's lap, is great honour and authority. The sun rising from the west is a matter turned from its usual course, and a reminder to return to God. The sun is a sign of God, rising and setting by His command, and a dawn after a long night in a dream is relief after hardship.
