Dream meaning Dreaming of a castle

A castle in a dream is a fortress: protection, safety and the strength of those who hold it. Whether the dreamer is inside it, shut out of it or besieged in it tells the reading. Entering a castle with ease is safety from a fear, protection from a person of authority, or a position that shelters the dreamer and their family; living in a castle is honour and security, and for one who is afraid it is relief.

The Prophet related John the Baptist's teaching that the one who remembers God is like a man pursued by enemies who reaches a strong fortress and is safe inside it. A castle reached in flight is remembrance and prayer protecting the dreamer from what pursues them.

Being shut outside the gate is being kept from a protection or an authority for a time, and the dream counsels seeking another door and asking God for shelter; being welcomed through the gate is being admitted to a circle of power or safety. A castle besieged is a hardship from adversaries pressing on a household or a position, and holding it is patience rewarded.

A ruined castle is a protection that has fallen away or a house of standing that has declined, and rebuilding it is honour restored. Building a castle is a lasting work, or the securing of one's family's future.

A castle of glass is a matter whose appearance deceives, as the Queen of Sheba took Solomon's glass floor for water; a high tower built to look down on others is the arrogance Pharaoh showed when he ordered a tower built to reach the God of Moses. The Qur'an warns of those who thought their fortresses would protect them from God, and no wall is a shelter without Him.
