Dream meaning Dreaming of thorns

Thorns in a dream are worries, debts and difficult people, the obstacles that catch at the dreamer's hem on the way to what they want. Being pricked by a thorn is a small harm or a hard word from someone, or a debt that makes its demand; the Prophet said that even the prick of a thorn that reaches a believer is an expiation of sins, so the prick in a dream carries its reward as well as its sting.

Pulling a thorn out of the hand or foot is relief from a worry, a debt paid or a quarrel settled. Walking barefoot over thorns is a road taken with hardship, and reaching the end of it is a matter completed despite the difficulty.

A thorn tree or a thicket is a hard, grasping person, or a matter tangled with obstacles; clearing thorns from a path or burning them is removing trouble from one's own way and from the way of others, and the Prophet counted removing something harmful from the road as a branch of faith. Thorns around a garden or a rose are protection around something precious, and the price paid to reach it.

A thorn lodged where it cannot be reached is a worry kept hidden that asks to be told to one who can help. Thorns growing inside one's own house are disputes and difficult dealings within it, to be answered with patience and gentle words. In Persian the proverb says there is no rose without a thorn, and the dream is read the same way: the difficulty belongs to the good it guards.
