Guidance held with care, insight without haste

Dream meaning Dreaming of a wound

A wound in a dream is the place where protection gave way. It shows what was hidden under the skin, pain and vulnerability, a hurt that asks to be seen. Where the wound is, how it happened and whether it is being cared for decide the reading. The traditions honour the patience that wounds demand.

The Qur'an remembers Job, who called out, "Harm has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful," and whose affliction lifted when he struck the ground with his foot and a spring rose for washing and drinking. In the books of interpretation a wound received in a dream is, against all expectation, wealth coming to the dreamer, while a wound that bleeds is a debt or a costly expense.

A clean wound you bandage yourself is a gain you will manage on your own; one that someone else dresses is help that comes with it. A bleeding wound that keeps reopening is an expense that returns, and the dream tells you to close the matter that causes it. A wound on the hand concerns work and giving; on the foot, the path you walk; on the chest, love and trust.

Wounding someone else is benefit that passes from you to them or, if it came in anger, a wrong to be repaired. A wound closing before your eyes is glad tidings of recovery.
