Dream meaning Dreaming of making up with someone

A reconciliation dream brings together people who have been apart: a hand extended after years of silence, a quarrel dissolving into tears, an embrace with someone you believed you had lost. It is a dream of forgiveness and the relief of peace, and it asks whether a bridge can still be crossed. The traditions treat reconciliation as something holy.

The Qur'an says plainly that "reconciliation is best," and it ends Joseph's long ordeal with his words to the brothers who had thrown him into a well: "No blame will there be upon you today." The Prophet taught that the better of two estranged people is the one who greets first.

Making peace with an opponent is the end of a dispute and the arrival of benefit; shaking hands is an agreement kept, and embracing is love restored. Being the first to approach is the better part, as the hadith says; being approached is an opening someone else is preparing. Reconciling with a person who has died points to peace you can still make through prayer, charity or forgiveness in your own heart.

A reconciliation that falls apart in the dream is peace that needs another attempt, and a meal shared at one table is warmth returning to a family. This is a dream to tell someone who loves you, and then to act on: take the first step it showed.
