A mirror in a dream stands for a spouse, a partner or a close companion, for the dreamer's standing among people, and for what is shown that could not otherwise be seen. Looking into a mirror and seeing one's own face beautiful and clear is good standing, a sound marriage and a good report; seeing it dark, altered or ugly is a matter harming one's standing, or a strain in a close bond to be mended before it grows.
Dream meaning Dreaming of a mirror
Symbols
For a man a new mirror is a marriage or a partner; for a woman a mirror given to her is news of a husband or joy in the household. A broken mirror is a bond or a partnership coming apart, or a standing damaged, and the dream comes in time to mend it; a mirror covered or turned to the wall is a matter hidden for a while.
Seeing another person's face in place of one's own is a likeness to that person in some matter, be it their position, their fortune or their fault. Seeing no reflection at all is a standing that feels lost, or a matter not yet clear. The Prophet said that the believer is the mirror of his brother, showing him what he cannot see, so a mirror held out by a friend is honest counsel coming.
