Dream meaning Dreaming of an eagle

An eagle in a dream flies at the height where power and vision meet. It sees the whole field and chooses its moment, which is why so many peoples made it the emblem of kingship: the eagle standards of Rome's legions, the eagle of Saint John the Evangelist, the eagle of Saladin that still stands on Arab coats of arms.

Classical Islamic interpreters read the eagle as a powerful ruler or a person of great influence, and the reading follows how the dreamer meets it. An eagle soaring calmly above you is protection from someone powerful, or a wide view arriving that lets you decide well. Riding an eagle, or being carried by one, announces a rise in position or a long journey toward something high.

An eagle that obeys you or lands on your arm is authority coming into your hands; one that attacks is the anger of someone stronger, to be met with patience and protection. A wounded eagle is a powerful person brought low, or a strength of yours that has been clipped.

Notice the eagle's eyes, because the dream often lends their sharpness to the dreamer: something you have stood too close to see is about to come into focus.
