Dream meaning Dreaming of a water spring

A spring in a dream is water at the moment of its birth, rising clean from the ground before any channel, cup or city has claimed it. It is about origins: the source of your strength, the beginning of a project, the first ground of your faith. It is life renewing itself from below. Scripture gives springs a sacred place.

When Hagar ran between the hills searching for water for her son, the well of Zamzam burst from the earth, and it still flows in Mecca; when Moses struck the rock, twelve springs gushed forth, one for each tribe; and the Qur'an promises the righteous a spring in paradise that they will make flow wherever they wish.

Persian and Arabic storytelling added the water of life, which Khidr found in the land of darkness while Alexander searched for it in vain. Interpreters read a clear spring as blessing, lawful provision, knowledge that keeps flowing, or a child who will bring joy.

Finding a spring on dry ground announces relief from an unexpected quarter; drinking from it, healing or insight; a spring choked with stones or mud, a gift blocked by neglect that can be cleared. Following a stream back to its spring is a return to first intentions.
