Dream meaning Dreaming of cracked teeth

Teeth cracking, crumbling or falling out is one of the most commonly reported dreams in the world, and it strikes at power, speech and the body at once. It is read first on the household, then on debts, and only then on the body. Which teeth break matters, and whether it hurts, and what you do with the pieces.

The interpreters read the teeth as a person's household and kin, the upper teeth relatives on the father's side and the lower on the mother's, so a tooth that cracks or falls stands for a change in the family.

A famous story tells of a ruler who dreamed that all his teeth fell out: one interpreter said his whole family would die before him and was dismissed, while another said he would outlive all his family and was rewarded. It was the same meaning, told with wisdom. The Prophet loved the siwak and said it purifies the mouth and pleases the Lord.

A cracking tooth is strain with the relative it stands for, to be mended by visiting and kindness; teeth crumbling as you speak are a word that could hurt a relative, better left unsaid. A single loose tooth is a particular worry in the family.

Losing teeth without pain, like a child's, is change and growth, and a second line of reading takes a fallen tooth as a debt paid or a burden set down; a full, sound set is long life. New teeth coming in are an increase in the family. Holding the fallen teeth in your hand is keeping what belongs to you, a relation or a sum owed.

The story of the two interpreters is the rule: such a dream is never told to anyone as a death.
