Dream meaning Dreaming of bread

Bread in a dream is provision and livelihood, and beyond that the good a life depends on: faith, knowledge, a household's daily blessing. White bread, well baked and fresh, is a lawful provision and a comfortable life; a warm loaf taken from the oven is a provision arriving now; bread eaten with honey, meat or oil is a livelihood made pleasant.

Stale, dry or burned bread is a provision that comes with difficulty or a narrower season; mouldy bread is a gain spoiled by something that must be cleared from it. Baking bread is working for one's provision and one's family, and a household that bakes together is a household that stands together.

Giving bread away is charity, knowledge shared or good done to people, and it returns to the giver; breaking bread with others is fellowship and a bond of trust, for in many lands one does not betray those with whom one has eaten bread and salt. Bread falling from the sky or filling a place is abundance and rain reaching its people.

Being refused bread, or finding the basket empty, is a provision delayed that asks for patience and seeking; finding bread where none was expected is relief from an unexpected quarter. Bread thrown on the ground is a blessing disrespected, and picking it up is gratitude restored. The disciples asked Jesus for a table spread from heaven, and the Qur'an tells that God sent it down as a sign and a provision.

Bread handed to the dreamer by an unseen hand is provision from God.
