Dream meaning Dreaming of stars

Stars in a dream are people of standing and knowledge, such as scholars, nobles and leaders. They are brothers and kin, as in Joseph's dream of eleven stars, and they are guidance, for the Qur'an says the stars are set so that people may be guided by them in the darkness of land and sea.

A bright star over the dreamer, or a star in the house, is honour, a noble or learned person joining the household, or a child of distinction; many clear stars are a gathering of good people or a blessing spread. A falling star is a person of standing brought low or lost to a community, or a hope set aside, and the dream counsels care rather than dread; stars falling like rain are a trial spreading among people.

Catching or holding a star is reaching a high aim, or knowledge gained. Stars darkened by cloud are a matter clouded for a time, and walking by starlight is finding the way through a hard season by the counsel of the wise. The Qur'an also tells of shooting stars guarding heaven from the devils who would eavesdrop, so a star that strikes a dark figure is protection from harm.
