Tiptoeing away from a camp of bright tents, a man carries five swords by their blades and glances back over his shoulder with a sly smile. Two swords remain stuck in the ground behind him. He is getting away with something. This card is stealth, cunning and deceit.

Something is being done behind someone's back. The Seven of Swords shows deception, half-truths and attempts to slip away unseen. Sometimes it is you, going round a confrontation. Sometimes it is done to you. Be alert, and be honest about your own tactics. Strategy has its place. Sneaking has a cost, and two swords are always left behind.
Reversed
The trick is exposed. A lie is found out, a conscience catches up, a person decides to come clean. The Seven of Swords reversed also shows self-deception, the lie you tell yourself. Return what you took and say what you hid. What you tried to get away with finds its way back to you.
In love
Dishonesty in love: secrets, evasions, someone who is not saying everything, or infidelity. Trust your sense that something is off, and ask directly. If you are meeting someone new, beware of a person who is not free, or not what they claim to be. Be straight yourself.
In work
Watch your back. Someone is acting for their own advantage, taking credit or hiding information. Keep your plans to yourself and check what you are told. If a shortcut tempts you, leave it alone. Clever strategy is fine. Dishonesty is found out.
Yes or no?
No. Something here is not honest, and it will not hold up.
