Five of Wands tarot card

Tarot card meaning Five of Wands

Five young men swing long staffs at one another on open ground, each dressed differently, each striking in his own direction. No one is hurt and no one is winning. It is a scuffle more than a battle: competition, clashing opinions, energy spent in friction.

Upright

Everyone wants something different and no one is listening. The Five of Wands describes rivalry, argument and a field crowded with competitors. It is tiresome, and it is not serious. Decide whether this fight is worth your strength. If it is, compete cleanly and stand out by skill. If it is not, put your staff down and walk around the scrum.

Reversed

When this card turns over, the fighting dies down or goes underground. An agreement is reached after tension, or a quarrel is swallowed and will flare again later. Inner conflict belongs to this card too: you against yourself. Bring the disagreement into the open and settle it properly.

In love

Bickering, competing egos, or rivals for someone's attention. In a relationship, small arguments pile up, so find the real disagreement underneath them. If you are single, others are competing for the person you like. Do not play games to win.

In work

Conflicting views fill the team. Everyone pushes their own idea and little gets done. Use the friction: let the ideas test each other, then agree on a direction. In a contest for a post or a client, prepare well. You have to prove yourself against others.

Yes or no?

No. Too much conflict and competition surround this for a clean result now.
