Cups
Seven cups float in a cloud before a dark figure seen from behind. From them rise a head, a veiled shape, a snake, a castle, jewels, a laurel wreath, a dragon. Every cup holds a different dream, and he does not know which is real. This is fantasy, temptation, too many choices.
Many options float before you, and most of them are smoke. The Seven of Cups shows a mind full of wishes and possibilities, and no decision. Some of what you see is a real opportunity; much of it is illusion. Do not be dazzled. Look hard at each cup, ask what is truly inside it, and then choose one and bring it down to earth.
The clouds part. Illusions drop away and a clear choice is made, because you now see what is real and what was wishful thinking. The other face of this card reversed is a person lost in fantasy, avoiding reality altogether. Come back to what you can touch and do.
Illusion in love. You are in love with an idea of someone, or torn between several possibilities. See the person as they are, not as you dream them. In a relationship, unrealistic expectations bring disappointment. Whether single or not, choose with open eyes.
Too many ideas and no focus. Offers sound wonderful, and some of them are empty. Find out what stands behind the promises before you commit. Stop daydreaming about every possible path, pick the one with substance, and give it your full effort.
Wait. Most of these cups hold smoke, so find the one that is real before you choose.
