Six of Pentacles tarot card

Tarot card meaning Six of Pentacles

A wealthy merchant in a red robe holds a set of scales in one hand, and with the other drops coins into the hands of a kneeling beggar while a second waits his turn. He gives by measure. This is generosity and its balance: giving, receiving, and who holds the power in the exchange.

Upright

What is given is given fairly. The Six of Pentacles shows generosity in motion: help arrives when you need it, or you are in a position to share. Give without making the other person small. Receive without shame. Debts are settled, support is offered, effort is answered in due measure. Keep the scales even, and know which side of them you stand on.

Reversed

There are strings on the gift. Generosity is used as power, charity humiliates, debts go unpaid, or the giving runs only one way. You give too much and get nothing back, or you take and do not return. Look at the balance honestly and correct it.

In love

Give and take. This is a generous relationship in which each looks after the other. Check that it is balanced, so that one does not always give and the other always receive. For someone single, a kind person approaches. Accept affection as freely as you offer it.

In work

Your effort is acknowledged fairly. Support comes from a mentor or a backer, or you are the one in a position to help. Share your knowledge and your resources. Settle what you owe, and ask plainly for what you are owed.

Yes or no?

Yes. Help and fairness are on your side in this.
